THANKSGIVING MASS: An Archdiocesan Thanksgiving Mass in celebration of the election and inauguration of Pope Leo XIV will take, on Friday, 30 May at 18h30 at the Cathedral. All are welcome.

MASS INTENTIONS: Please place all the Mass Intention requests in the collection baskets. You will also receive a call/message later in the week to confirm reception of the envelope and to confirm the date of the Mass, if you have specified a date. If you have not heard from the Parish in that week please contact the office as soon as possible. Thank you.

LAUDATO SI” 10th ANNIVERSARY:  24 May 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis signing the Encyclical, Laudato Si’.  The Encyclical looks at climate change and our common home, developing into modern concepts the Catholic teaching about creation.  The Laudato Si’ Movement has designated 24-31 May as Laudato Si’ Week.  Please contact Kevin Beaumont should you wish to participate in a dialogue to take forward the teachings of the encyclical in our parish:  Kevin@mettamedia.co.za

SHONA MASS:  On Sunday, 01 June the Zimbabwe Community will be celebrating Mass at 12h00 in the Cathedral.  All are most welcome.

CHILD SAFEGUARDING: There will be a screening of the Archdiocesan video on Child Safeguarding in the Parish Hall on Sunday, 08 June, after the 10h00 Mass.  All those in ministry are required to have watched this video. Please make sure that those who are in ministry, and have not watched the video, are in attendance. Child Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and we take compliance very seriously!

Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your Son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your kingdom. May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven.  May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth.  To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever, Amen.
