RCIA 2026: The Parish RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) programme will begin in July 2026. It is open to those interested in becoming Catholic, Catholic adults wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, and anyone seeking to learn more about the Catholic faith. Sessions will be held on Sundays at 09h00. Registration closes on 30 June 2026. For more information, please contact Ronald Mubaiwa at ronald.mubaiwa@gmail.com or the Parish Office.
PUBLIC HOLIDAY: As Tuesday is a public holiday – Youth Day – please note that there will be only one Mass celebrated in the parish, which will take place at 09h00 at Nazareth House.
CONTACT INFORMATION FOR EMERGENCIES: Our office hours are Tuesday to Friday, 09h00–14h00. After 14h00, the office number (021 461 1167) is redirected to the Presbytery strictly for emergencies only—such as urgent pastoral needs or sick calls that cannot wait until the next day. Please call at any time in genuine emergencies. We kindly ask everyone to respect boundaries. NEW PARISH WHATSAPP CHANNEL: We are excited to introduce our new Parish WhatsApp Channel, a dedicated space designed to keep our parish family informed, connected, and engaged with the life and faith of St Mary’s Cathedral. This channel will ensure everyone receives timely parish news, important updates, and emergency information, strengthening our sense of community and belonging. The invitation link will be shared this weekend via all our social media platforms and our parish WhatsApp groups. We warmly encourage every parishioner and friend of the Cathedral to join us, so together we can build a supportive network and journey in faith as one family. If anyone would still like to join the group and discern a possible vocation to the priesthood, religious life, or would simply like to discern God’s call more deeply, please speak with Fr Robert or Fr Paul after Mass this weekend, or via email at cathedralassistant.adct@gmail.com by this Sunday evening at the latest. Thank you to those who have already communicated their intention to join, and we look forward to seeing you next week.
