LAUDATO SI” 10th ANNIVERSARY: 24 May 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis signing the Encyclical, Laudato Si’. The Encyclical looks at climate change and our common home, developing into modern concepts the Catholic teaching about creation. The Laudato Si’ Movement has designated 24-31 May as Laudato Si’ Week. SVDP INTERNATIONAL Holy Mass: will be celebrated on Tuesday 3 June at 12:45 pm at the Cathedral.

CHILD SAFEGUARDING: There will be a screening of the Archdiocesan video on Child Safeguarding in the Parish Hall on Sunday, 08 June, after the 10:00 am Mass. All those in ministry are required to have watched this video. Please make sure that those who are in ministry, and have not watched the video, are in attendance. Child Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we take compliance very seriously!
YOUTH DAY: The Annual Youth Day celebration will take place on the Monday, 16 June from 10:00 am -13:00 pm at the Italian Club, Donegal Street, Rugby. (Youth Day Jubilee – Battle of the Bands). CATHEDRAL JUBILEE TOUR: To all parishioners, we have secured an official date for the Parish’s Cathedral Tour. It will be on the 28 June at 12:00 pm. There is space for 100 parishioners. Please contact Michelle on michelleperryf@gmail.com should you wish to join us on the Parish tour of the Cathedral. We look forward to being together as a Parish celebrating our Cathedral.
BAPTISM: The Sacrament of Baptism will take place on either 30 or 31 August 2025.. The Baptism instruction class will be held on Sunday 24 August after the 10:00 am mass. The date and time will be determined at the class. Baptism Forms are available at the entrances of the churches. All completed forms need to be handed in by 17 August at the parish office.

Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your Son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your kingdom. May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven. May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth. To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever, Amen.
