POPE LEO XIV: We give thanks to God for the election of a new Pope, Leo XIV. There will be much speculation about him over the next few days, our prayers during this time of transition and his Papal ministry is the best thing we can do for him. As Catholics we commit ourselves now to working with Pope Leo XIV for the good of the Church and as he said three times in his balcony address, to be the missionaries of Jesus Christ to the world. May he be a Good Shepherd! God bless our Pope!
SOLEMN VESPERS AND BENEDICTION: Will begin again on the 3rd Sunday of May (18 May) at 16h00. We look forward to seeing you all there again. Please let friends and family know.
PFC – PARISH FINANCE COUNCIL: Meeting on Thursday, 15 May at 18h00 at the Presbytery.
PPC – PASTORAL PARISH COUNCIL: Meeting on Tuesday, 20 May at 18h00 and the Parish Hall.
AFRICA DAY CELEBRATION: We will be celebrating Africa Day on Sunday, 25 May this year. Please do let your family and friends know and let us celebrate our continent together.
SECOND COLLECTION: There will a second collection in aid of the Priests’ Sick Fund Collection on the weekend of 24-25 May. Envelopes will be available from next week
EQUESTIAN ORDER OF THE HOLY SEPHULCHRE OF JERUSALEM: The Vigil and Investiture of the Order will take place in the Cathedral on 23/24 May. Two of our Parishioners are being invested. All are welcome to attend the Ceremonies: Friday 18h00 and Saturday 10h00.

Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your Son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your kingdom.
May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven. May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth. To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever, Amen.
