THANK YOU:  To everyone who donated milk during Lent for the feeding Scheme at St Mary’s School. Altogether 419 litres were collected.  The school is very grateful as this will last into the 3rd Term. The response has truly been overwhelming!

THE CAPE TOWN SYMPHONY SINGERS:  Are having a Farewell Concert for their upcoming Tour. It will in the Cathedral at 19h30 on Saturday, 03 May.  There will be a donation box at the entrances to the Cathedral. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

SECOND COLLECTION:   This weekend second collection is in aid of the Ecclesiastical Education Fund.  Envelopes are available at the entrance of the churches. We thank you in anticipation of your generosity.

AFRICA DAY CELEBRATION:  We will be celebrating Africa Day on 25 May this year. Anyone interested in assisting with the preparations, please join the meeting straight after Mass this weekend, 04 May at the Cathedral. MOTHER’S DAY RAFFLE:  The raffle is in aid of the Youth preparing for World Youth Day 2026. Tickets are R20 and available at the entrances to all the Churches in the Parish. Thank you for your support.

SHONA CHOIR FUNDRAISING:  On Sunday, 11 May 2025 from 11h30 – 16h00 the Shona Choir will be having a High Tea to fundraise in aid of the Annual Choir Competition in Pretoria. SOLEMN VESPERS AND BENEDICTION: Will begin again on the 3rd Sunday of May (18 May) at 16h00. We look forward to seeing you all there again. Please let friends and family know.

SECRET GARDEN COFFEE SHOP:  If you are around on a Saturday morning pop into our coffee shop that is up and running at the Cathedral Garden until lunch time every Saturday. Come and support us as we grow this opportunity and ministry.

Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your Son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your kingdom.

May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven.  May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth.  To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever, Amen.
