BAPTISM: We are delighted that several families have expressed interest in having their children baptised. Baptisms have, therefore, been scheduled for the weekend of 20/21 June. To help everyone prepare, Baptism Instruction Classes will be held in the Parish Centre after the 10h00 Mass on Sunday, 14 June. It is very important that all parents wishing to have their child baptised attend this session.
Kindly complete a baptism application form and return it either to the Parish email or to Fr Paul’s email. Application forms can be found at the back of our churches or requested via the parish email. Please ensure that forms are submitted by 10 June, in order that we can make the necessary arrangements for the instruction class.
The specific Mass at which your child’s baptism will take place will be discussed with parents during the instruction class. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to celebrating this special sacrament with you and your family.
| New Parish Vision Statement As Saint Mary’s Cathedral Parish, we are a Catholic community united in faith and in Christ, serving as a beacon for our city – a spiritual home and refuge where all find belonging, hope and love, under the patronage of Our Lady of the Flight into Egypt. Spiritual Growth: Let the vision inspire your prayer life and deepen your relationship with God and your neighbours. Encourage Others: Motivate friends and family to embrace the vision, fostering a supportive and enthusiastic environment. |

RCIA 2026: The parish RCIA programme (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) will begin in July 2026 in our parish. RCIA is intended for those all those who are interested in becoming Catholic, Catholic adults wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, or anyone seeking to learn more about the Catholic Faith. Sessions will take place on Sundays at 09h00. Registration closes on 30 June 2026.
