CATHEDRAL RENOVATIONS UPDATE: The Cathedral is now officially closed until July 2026.  Please note the venues where the Masses are being celebrated.

SECOND COLLECTION: This weekend’s second collection supports the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood, aiding children in need worldwide. Envelopes are at the church entrances.

PATRONAL FEAST: We remind everyone that next week as we celebrate the Patronal Feast of both our Archdiocese and the Cathedral. Bp Sylvester will preside over the 10h00 Mass, with special readings dedicated to Our Lady of the Flight into Egypt. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Parish community to celebrate who we are and our unity. Do consider attending the 10h00 Mass!

INSTALLATION OF ARCHBISHOP SIPUKA: We are delighted to announce that the Installation of Archbishop Sipuka will take place on 14 March 2026 at the Grand Arena, Grand West. If you would like to attend this special occasion, kindly contact Fr Paul by email at (cathedralassistant.adct@gmail.com) so we can organise the appropriate number of tickets. Due to the venue requirements, tickets are necessary, but please rest assured that everyone is welcome to join us for this significant event.

YOUTH MEETING: A final reminder to our youth that our Youth Meeting will take place after 10h00 Mass this Sunday in the Parish Boardroom. This session will provide information about the 2027 World Youth Day Pilgrimage to Seoul, Korea. Everyone interested is warmly invited to attend.

LENTEN REQUEST FROM CATECHISTSPlease return your old palms and palm crosses to the Cathedral by 8 February for Lent preparations; baskets are at the entrance and in the Cathedral Hall.

SACRISTANS NEEDED URGENTLY: We invite parishioners to consider volunteering as sacristans for the 10h00 Sunday Mass at the Cathedral. Due to our current sacristan having relocated, we are seeking at least one dedicated individual to assist in this meaningful ministry. Full training will be provided. This ministry is important for the smooth celebration of the liturgy. If you are interested or would like more information, please speak to Fr Robert or Fr Paul.  We would be delighted to welcome you!
