CATHEDRAL JUBILEE BOOKLETS: These are available at a cost of R50. Please purchase them in the Sacristy, a card machine will be available. We thank Kevin Beaumont for all his hard work in preparing the booklet, it is a magnificent keep sake and recommended as a memento for the Jubilee.
CATHEDRAL BROCHURE: The new “Walk through the Cathedral” Brochure is available at all the entrances. The Brochures are available for a donation. Please encourage visitors to the Cathedral to take one as you and they explore the wonders of our Cathedral.
VISITING CHOIR: This Sunday, 16 February, at the 10h00 Mass, the Grazer Kapellknaben Choir from Graz, Austria will sing the Mass. They are on a tour and have offered to sing the Mass. Please let your friends and family know – it should be quite an experience.
BAPTISM INSTRUCTION: This Sunday 16 February after the 10h00 Mass baptism instruction will take place with Sr Glynnis in the Parish Hall. Please make sure you attend. Both parents and godparents to be present.
BAPTISM: Dates has been set for baptism on either the weekend of the 22/23 February or at the Shona Mass on 2 March.
ALTAR SERVERS: There will be a practice on Saturday 22 February from 10h00-12h30 in the Cathedral. This will take place in conjunction with the Cathedral tours.
SHONA MASS: Will be celebrated on Sunday, 2 March at 12h00. All is welcome.
RITE OF ELECTION: On Friday, 7 March at 19h00 at the Cathedral.
THANKSGIVING MASS for Cardinal Stephen, Brislin will be held on the Saturday, 8 March at 10h00 in the Cathedral.
THE SHORTENED JUBILEE PRAYER:
Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your Son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your kingdom.
May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven. May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth. To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever, Amen.
