THIRD SUNDAY OF ADVENT – YEAR B
1st Reading: Isaiah 61:1-2.10-11. Resp. Psalm: Luke 1:46-50.53-54. ℟: My soul shall exult in my God. 2nd Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24. Gospel acclamation: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; he has sent me to preach good news to the poor. Gospel: John 1:6-8.19-28.
THE ARCHBISHOP’S ADVENT APPEAL: There will be a second collection on all the Sundays of Advent for the pastoral and building needs of the Archdiocese. Please take your set of envelopes that is available at the entrance.
SVP FOOD DRIVE: The St Vincent de Paul Society has started a “bring a to Mass” drive for those in our parish for whom Christmas will be bleak given the price of food. Please see list on the Notice Board of groceries to be donation. Thank you.

PENITENTIAL SERVICE: Thursday, 21 December 2023 at 18h00 at the Cathedral.
