FOURTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORINARY TIME – YEAR A
1st Reading: Zechariah 9:9-10. Resp. Psalm: Ps 145:1-2.8-11.13-14. ℟: I will bless your name forever, my king and my God. 2nd Reading: Romans 8:9.11-13.
Gospel acclamation: Blessed are you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have revealed to little ones the mysteries of the kingdom. Gospel: Matthew 11:25-30.
SVP WINTER DRIVE: The SVP is urgently looking for donations of warm second hand clothing, jerseys, jackets scarves, beanies etc. Also second hand blankets. Non-perishable items tinned foods, sugar, coffee, tea, porridge, cup of soup, oil, pasta etc. All goods can be dropped off at the Parish office or the Cathedral.
SECOND COLLECTIONS: This weekend’s second collection for Seafarers’ Sunday (Stella Maris) will be taken up at all Masses. Envelopes are available at the entrance of the church.
BAPTISMS: Baptism of infants will take place on Saturday 15 July 2023 at the 18h00 Mass. The compulsory baptism preparation class will take place on Wednesday, 12th July at 19h00 in the Parish Hall. (Parents and Godparents to attend).
SNAPSCAN: Seeing that many people do not carry cash (for security reasons) the PFC has decided to register the parish for SnapScan.
Contributions towards the Sunday collection (only for the first collection towards the parish) can be made via the app at any time. The QR

175th ANNIVERSARY 2026: In three years’ time the Cathedral will celebrate its 175th anniversary (completed in 1851). The necessary
renovations (roof, painting, solar system etc.) and all fundraising efforts will be geared up towards this celebration. If you have suggestions
