FIFTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORINARY TIME – YEAR A
1st Reading: Isaiah 55:10-11. Resp. Psalm: Ps 65:10-14. ℟: The seed that fell into good soil yielded a hundred fold.
2nd Reading: Romans 8:18-23. Gospel acclamation: The seed is the word of God, and the sower is Christ, all who find him will abide forever. Gospel: Matthew 13:1-23.
SVP WINTER DRIVE: The SVP is urgently looking for donations of warm second hand clothing, jerseys, jackets scarves, beanies etc. Also second hand blankets. Non-perishable items tinned foods, sugar, coffee, tea, porridge, cup of soup, oil, pasta etc. All goods can be dropped off at the Parish office or the Cathedral.
CATECHISTS’ MEETING (Teachers): On Saturday, 15 July
2023 a meeting will take place from 10h00 to 12h00 in the Parish Hall.
ALTAR SERVERS’ TRAINING: On Saturday, 22 July training
will take place at the Cathedral from 10h00 to 12h00.

PROPOSED CHANGES IN MASS TIMES: At the last PPC meeting a proposal to change Mass times was discussed. These changes are necessary due to the fact that there are only two priests assigned to celebrate Masses in the parish. Canon Law prohibits the regular celebration of more than one Mass on weekdays (two on Sundays) per priest (can. 905), except for a just cause and only with express permission by the local bishop. The proposed changes are as follows:
