HAPPY FATHERS DAY: We extend our heartfelt wishes to all our fathers for a blessed and joyful Father’s Day. Today we give thanks to God for the gift of all fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and father figures who generously share their love, guidance, and care with their families and our parish community. May the Lord bless you all with strength, wisdom, good health, and His abundant grace as you continue to be faithful examples of love, compassion, and service. To mark this special occasion, everyone is warmly invited to join us after the morning Masses at all three churches for tea, coffee, and doughnuts as we celebrate and honour the fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and father figures in our parish family. We look forward to celebrating with you!
PRAYERS FOR ARCHBISHOP SIPUKA: Archbishop Sithembele Sipuka will travel to Rome to receive his Pallium from Pope Leo XIV on the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, 29 June. With joy and gratitude we assure him of the prayers and support of the Cathedral parish community. The Pallium is a symbol of the Archbishop’s pastoral authority and his communion with the Holy Father, marking his ministry as Metropolitan Archbishop. May the Lord continue to bless Archbishop Sipuka with wisdom, strength, and good health as he continues to lead the faithful of our Archdiocese with faith, hope, and compassion.
CONGRATULATIONS: We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the children who were baptised and welcomed into our parish family this weekend. We also congratulate their parents, godparents, and families on this special occasion, and pray that God will continue to bless and guide them as they grow in faith. Our sincere thanks to Michelle and Sr Glynis for their continued dedication and faithful service in preparing our families for the Sacrament of Baptism. Your commitment and generosity are a true blessing to our parish community.
