MASS INTENTIONS:  Above are the intentions that the Priest will offer up for the week of the 07-15 September 2024.  There are envelopes made available at entrance of the church, for those who would like a Mass offered. These Masses may be offered for special intentions and especially for the Repose of the Souls of our departed relatives and friends. Only one intention may be offered per Mass, so please take an envelope per Mass Intention. These may be handed to the priest on duty or placed in the collection box.

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION:   This Sunday, 8 September at the 10h00 Mass, six young people from our Parish will be confirmed by Cardinal Brislin. Please join us and support our young people, and most importantly please keep them in your prayers as they make their final preparation for confirmation.

EQUESTRIAN ORDER OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE OF JERUSALEM: EOHSJ REHEARSAL:  A practice session will be held for those being installed in the Cathedral on Saturday 7 September from 10h00 – 12h00 in the Cathedral. The installations of new Dames and Knights of EOHSJ will be taking place in the Cathedral with the Vigil Service at 18h30 on Friday 13 September and the installation at 10h00 on Saturday 14 September. Please keep the new Dames and Knights in your prayers.  All are welcome to attend. If you are interested in the Order, please contact Fr Robert Bissell.  

UPCOMING PARISH MEETINGS:  A reminder that the PFC will be on 12 September and the PPC on 17 September, both at 18h30.

BAPTISM:  The Next Sacrament of Baptism for Infants will be administered at the Cathedral on Saturday, 26 October 2024 at 18h00.  Please contact the office at least two weeks before the date to fill in the necessary forms.  Baptism Preparation Class will take place Wednesday, 23 October2024.

SVDP:  Thank you to all those that donated toward the winter drive. We as SVDP and the recipients are most grateful; it has just made getting through winter more tolerable.

CLERGY NOTICE:    Farewell and best wishes to Fr Peter Ziegler as he returns to Kenya on Thursday, 12 September 2024 to complete his studies. Thank you for his assistance. 

Fr Robert will be away on a Pilgrimage with the EOHSJ from Monday 30 September to Saturday the 12 October 2024. Please keep them in your prayers.

THE SHORTENED JUBILEE PRAYER

Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your Son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your kingdom.

May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven.  May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the

earth.  To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever, Amen.
