MASS INTENTIONS: It is a pious Catholic practice to have Holy Mass offered for special intentions and especially for the Repose of the Souls of our departed relatives and friends. It is not permitted for more than one intention to be celebrated at a Mass and intentions are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Therefore, we are encouraging those who would like Masses said for specific intentions on specific days, to please make sure they have booked the Mass well in advance. We will only be able to take intentions on the day if the Mass Intention is not already allocated. To request a Mass Intention, please complete the envelopes provided at the back of the church and submit via the plate or call or email the parish office. Many thanks.
SVDP WINTER DRIVE: The SVDP is urgently looking for donations of warm second hand clothing; jersey, jackets, scarves, beanies etc. Also second hand items. Non-perishable items tinned foods, sugar, coffee, tea, porridge, cup of soup, oil, pasta etc. All goods can be dropped off at the Parish office or the Cathedral. The SVDP will also be providing the homeless with soup and hot cup of coffee/tea in in the next month. Any donations towards this special spoil are welcome. Thanking you all in advance for your generosity.
BAPTISMS OF INFANTS: The Sacrament of Baptism will be on Saturday, 27th July at 18h00 at the Cathedral. Please contact the office at least two weeks before the date to fill in the necessary forms. The Baptism Preparation Class is taking place on Wednesday, 24th July at 19h00 in the Parish Hall, both parents and Godparents, one of which needs to be a confirmed and practicing Catholic, need to attend.
