STATIONS OF THE CROSS: On all the Fridays of Lent (except Good Friday), Stations of the Cross will be at Nazareth House at 18h00. They will be led by different ministries within the Parish. On Good Friday the Station of the Cross will be in the Cathedral at 10h00, using the Maude Sumner Stations. Next weeks stations (21 March) will be led by the Sisters in the Parish

FAITH SHARING GROUPS: It is not yet too late to join a  small faith sharing groups this Lent. This is unfortunately the last week this will be possible, The course is a 4 week journey on the Eucharist. This is a program aimed at the Jubilee and developed by the CPD in the Archdiocese.

ALMS GIVING DURING LENT: As a Lenten custom in our Parish, we will be collecting litres of long-life full-cream milk to mix with the ePap for the feeding scheme at St Mary’s School. This makes a huge difference in the learning lives of these young people. All donations may be placed in the baskets at the entrances to the Cathedral, Nazareth House or Villa Maria.

SVDP DONATIONS: As part of our Lenten observance, donations of canned goods may be made to the SVDP. Almsgiving is an essential tenet of Lent and recognising the needs around us and responding, is practically living out our faith.

KNITTERS AND CROCHETERS:   All Knitters and Crocheters who would like to participate in making beanies and blankets for old age homes and anyone in need, please to contact Anik Broadhurst on 0839771099 or 021 4396987 to facilitate the distribution of wool. This is a wonderful cause to support and keep your fingers nimble!

PRAYERFUL CONDOLENCES:  On the passing of Adella Mutero a member of the Parish and the Shona Community. May her soul rest in peace. Details regarding the funeral, will be made available as soon as possible.

SECRET GARDEN COFFEE SHOP:  IfF you are around on a Saturday morning pop into our coffee shop that is up and running at the Cathedral Garden until lunch time every Saturday. Come and support us as we grow this opportunity and ministry.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO FR CHRISTIAN: who celebrates his birthday with his twin brother this Sunday. Ad multos annos!

THE SHORTENED JUBILEE PRAYER:

Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your Son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your kingdom.

May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven.  May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth.  To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever, Amen.
