Mass Attendance

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a limited number of people may attend mass

St Mary’s Cathedral

As from Sunday 11th October we will be allowing 100 parishioners to attend the 10am Sunday Mass. This is within the guidelines set out by the Archdiocese – 30% of the given space.

No pre-booking will be necessary for mass taking place at the Cathedral, so we suggest you arrive early to guarantee your space. We advise that attending Mass three times per month should allow all parishioners to return to Mass without having to turn anyone away.

Villa Maria

Villa Maria mass has reopened for mass at 7:30 am. Due to the limited space and adhering to COVID-19 protocols, we ask that you complete the below before Friday or contact the office to attend mass at Villa Maria.
Due to the limited number we try to accommodate as many parishioners, we ask that you limit yourself to attend once or twice a month. You will receive confirmation of attendance on the Friday before the Sunday Mass.
  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.

COVID-19 Protocols when attending Mass

  • Your temperature will be taken and your hands will be sanitised before you sign in at the entrance of the church.
  • Social distancing and wearing of a mask is compulsory.
  • You may only sit in the demarcated spaces laid out in the pews. You will be ushered to your seat.
  • No mask no entry.
  • Your mask needs to remain over your nose and mouth throughout Mass
  • For Communion – you will remain in your seat and communion will be brought to you. Please note this is by hand only.

There are 4 COVID Officers and we expect that you comply with them and the regulations set in place as this is for your own safety. The Regulations are set out by the Archdiocese and we in turn comply with them.

Please arrive at least half an hour before Mass starts to allow for the screening process.
